An emergency arose within the Maze Guild.
The fact that there were casualties caused by a single monster was a disaster waiting to happen if it became known through the media.
The press would tear the Maze Guild apart, and the internet would engage in a witch hunt.

Flying into the sky, I headed for the place I saw in his memories.
The Maze Guild building.
Late at night, the secretary was giving a report.
“How is it going?”
“I sent the cleaner.”
“Good. Report back once the job is done.”

After the secretary left the room, the guild master gazed out the window.
From his private office, located in a massive building, he could see the beautiful city skyline.
It had taken him five years to reach this position.
He would continue eliminating anything that stood in his way.

While waiting for the secretary’s report, he poured himself a glass of whiskey. That’s when he felt something.
Looking out the window, he saw nothing.
It was as though everything had been swallowed by something.
He pressed the emergency button beneath his desk, but nothing happened.
The security team should’ve arrived within 30 seconds, yet even after a minute, there was no sign of them.
Something was definitely happening.
But he was also an A-rank awakened being.
Excluding the 13 S-rank hunters in Korea, he was among the strongest.
And yet he was trembling?
Suppressing his unease, he stepped outside, only to see pools of blood everywhere. Amidst the carnage, some unrecognizable remains were scattered about.
Among them was something that appeared to be the clothes his secretary had been wearing.

The Maze Guild Master was swallowed whole, leaving no living beings remaining in the building.

A former contractor once nitpicked my work, complaining it wasn’t meticulous enough.
I ate them in anger, but I can’t do that this time.
After consuming all the remaining beings, I returned to the contractor’s house. There, my contractor was asleep.
Just looking at the contractor made me feel happy and filled with love. I wanted to keep the master inside me forever.
I didn’t want to lose them to anyone.
Then I sensed something.
The door opened, and a being stared at me.
It must be the contractor’s sibling.
She regarded me with suspicion.
“Who… are you? Why are you near my oppa?”
【Contractor!】
Startled by my words, she looked at me with wide eyes before tears began streaming down her face. What was this about?
“Did you hide the fact that you’re awakened…? Just wait until you wake up. I won’t let this slide.”
