The Fox God VTuber Climbing the Tower Chapter 47

Chapter 47

Wakamo struggled to climb out of the swamp after being buried by the Swamp Rock Spirit’s attack.

Ichigo and Pirate were already running in different directions.

Ichigo created platforms by freezing the ground and used them to slide, enhancing her mobility. She loaded her slingshot and fired rounds of bullets, causing a chain of explosions.

The Swamp Rock Spirit, composed of mud from the swamp, only needed its core to be destroyed to resolve the problem.

Sliding over the icy paths Ichigo created, Pirate transformed her entire body into ice and slammed her palm onto the path.

“[Elemental Transformation]! [Dual Transformation]! [Shapeshifting]!”

Suddenly, an icy mountain shot up, intercepting the incoming mud punch. Using the recoil, Ichigo leapt into the air and scattered all kinds of potions.

Immediately after, she spun her slingshot, loaded a hook, and launched it toward a wall, securing herself safely as the explosion erupted.

“Hiya!”

-This is amazing.

-I swear I saw something like this in science class.

-It’s volcano playtime!

No, they weren’t using baking soda and vinegar.

Instead, a mix of poisons erupted all at once, creating a dazzling fireworks display atop the mud giant’s head.

As properties shifted, lava flowed, ice erupted, snow fell across the floor, and steam spread, heating the area intensely. Sharp steel-like spikes protruded from its body.

Even though a volcanic eruption raged atop its head, the Swamp Rock Spirit moved unbothered.

“[Forced Mutation]!”

Pirate dashed below and touched one of its legs with her hand. A white frost spread from where she touched, transforming the leg into a solid block of ice as if the surrounding ice had been absorbed into it.

“Oryaah─!!”

Using her other hand, now turned to metal, Pirate smashed the frozen leg with full force, shattering it and throwing the Spirit off balance.

Emerging from the swamp, Wakamo infused her Kusanagi Blade with mana and unleashed a slashing strike.

She drew a straight, clean line from top to bottom, slicing through the swamp, and the Spirit’s body split in half, leaning precariously.

One leg had collapsed, causing it to slide as its shorter side fell.

However, it began to absorb the surrounding mud and regenerate once more.

“Grooooo─”

A deep echo from its gaping mouth spread ominously like a cavern’s reverberation.

“[The Swamp Rock Spirit regenerates as long as there is mud. Normally, the amount of mud should be limited─]”

“Ah, thank you, Manager.”

So, in a situation where the mud was endlessly overflowing, was it impossible to kill?

Even looking up, the sky was filled with impenetrable darkness, the source of the pouring mud unknown.

Moreover, if they dragged on, the rising swamp would slow their movements further, and absorbing the mud would only make the Spirit grow larger—a problem on its own.

“Guess there’s no choice.”

From Wakamo’s shoulder, white flames began to ignite.

The flames spread down her arms, burning fiercely and brightly, lighting up the darkness with their scorching intensity.

Realizing what Wakamo was about to do, Ichigo leapt away, with Pirate grabbing her mid-air and retreating.

The Swamp Rock Spirit, fixated on Wakamo, raised its massive fist.

Transforming its hand into a hammer, it prepared to crush her with malicious intent.

Wakamo stood her ground, preparing herself.

Using VTuber assets, she conjured an arrow, concealing it within the white flames.

“Fuga.”

-It’s coming!

-“Time for a firepower showdown.”

-This is getting exciting. Show us what you’ve got!

-The Fox God always delivers for her Believers.

-Ah, is this the Heian era’s strongest spell?!

-Haha, so it’s historically accurate now?!

[Stats]

Mana: 624,171 → 524,143

[Bonus Stats: 35]

“Kami-no…”

The white flame arrow shot from Wakamo’s fingertips wasn’t so much fired as launched, a crude but effective method.

Using [Mana Manipulation], the trajectory of the flames soared. Ichigo, realizing the potential, hurled a potion to amplify its power, while Pirate erected a wall of mud to shield against the impact.

The incoming arrow collided with the Swamp Rock Spirit. A dazzling light filled the viewers’ screens, blindingly bright.

The blast wave surged outward, spreading the white flames everywhere.

The Flame of the Idol consumed as much mana as Wakamo could feed it, burning fiercely as it engulfed the Swamp Rock Spirit’s massive form.

Like the Elf Sage before, the burning Rock Spirit appeared ready to collapse and die as it wobbled precariously.

But they were wrong.

“Daddy!!”

Ichigo’s urgent cry rang out as a giant mud hammer descended above Wakamo’s head.

Though she dodged swiftly, the hammer struck the ground, causing waves of mud to surge and obscure Wakamo’s vision.

The mud was quickly absorbed back into the Spirit, growing its body even larger. Its massive arm swung, sending Wakamo crashing into a distant wall with one strike.

-How is she not dead after that?

-Her upper body literally evaporated!

Even though the Spirit’s main body seemed free to move inside the mud, and parts of its torso had disappeared, the Swamp Rock Spirit remained alive.

Its shoulder stumps moved without issue, preparing for another attack against Wakamo.

Dodging the incoming mud, Wakamo leapt into the air, watching as the Spirit absorbed more mud to regenerate.

She also noticed the mud pouring from above, steadily filling the ground below.

“Hmph─ Ichigo, do you have any freezing potions left?”

“…Yeah! Want me to use one?!”

“Not yet. When I give the signal, trap it in an ice wall.”

“Okay!”

Planting her Kusanagi Blade into the ground, Wakamo took a deep breath.

Though she had never attempted this before, she thought, If I have enough mana, anything is possible.

“I’ll consume more mana than I should, but─”

It was something she had experimented with while moving supplies countless times.

Didn’t miracles born from practical experience always surpass prior limitations?

“If it wants to use environmental factors to its advantage, then I’ll counter with a domain of my own.”

With a deafening noise, all the surrounding mud was sucked in, and something began to manifest behind Wakamo—unseen by the viewers.

A last-ditch, reckless ultimate attack!

“I’ll invite you to my Peach Blossom Spring.”

Ichigo threw a freezing potion, creating an ice wall to block the mud wave from spreading to their home.

In Wakamo’s [My Worlds], the Swamp Rock Spirit was forcibly dragged into a dimension with a wide yard.

A beautiful scene unfolded: endless green fields beneath a blue sky.

Viewers marveled at how the floor suddenly transformed into something akin to the fabled Peach Blossom Spring.

The Swamp Rock Spirit, having lost its advantage of infinite mud, curled into a ball and rolled toward Wakamo.

[Stats]

Mana: 524,143 → 201,903

[Bonus Stats: 35]

‘This is draining faster than I thought…!’

Wakamo had known she could expand or move the portal, but it was taking a toll.

Still, from the moment the Spirit was pulled in, Wakamo held an overwhelming advantage.

After all, the space remained within the layer!

“Here, your precious regeneration won’t work!!”

Still, it was big—still overwhelming—still intimidating!!

But Wakamo smirked with confidence.

She didn’t make Ichigo create an impenetrable ice wall just for defense.

With Pirate reinforcing it further, Wakamo drew upon her mana.

The electricity and ‘Power’ in this area were fueled entirely by Wakamo’s mana.

As her mana drained at a tremendous speed, the ground beneath her began to swell.

“Sal Su Sang Sang Yang Byeok Heo (薩水湯湯漾碧虛)!!”

-The Battle of Salsu is here!

-How does she pull off water magic like this in a dry area?!

-Only a VTuber trio could make this possible.

-Is this powered by polar bear tears?

Reciting the phrase “The waves of the Salsu River surge into the azure void,” from Anjuhoego, massive water columns erupted, rapidly flooding the area.

While Wakamo could breathe underwater, the mud washed off the Swamp Rock Spirit.

The advantage was clear without explanation.

“Now’s the time!!!”

“I’m freezing it all at once, no complaints, Captain!”

Breath escaped Pirate’s lips as frost.

Following her, Wakamo’s unleashed water froze instantly.

In mere moments, the mud giant transformed into what could be described as an ice elemental spirit.

From atop the giant’s frozen head, a shadow loomed.

Ichigo, who had climbed up the ice wall using the recoil, dove toward the Spirit’s core while gripping a metal plate from her belt.

Using alchemical skills, she forged a single steel blade in her hand.

“Hyaaaah─!!”

With an almost laughably adorable battle cry, Ichigo slammed the massive sword into the core, splitting it in two.

“Huff… huff…”

Having consumed two [Body Reinforcement] potions purchased from the Association, she managed this feat.

But the recoil hit hard—Ichigo collapsed, her face pale, gasping for air.

Wakamo moved the portal again, expelling the mud and ice wall entirely before sealing it shut.

-What? The leader knows how to use a domain expansion???

-What was that place, though?

-I knew she could use water magic, but she can’t swim?!

-The Captain’s “Ice Age” move is unreal lol.

-That’s why she’s the Navy Admiral!! Knew she’d deliver!!

-Why no one praises Ichigo, though?

-Ah, your true moon slash… I witnessed it clearly…

-Not quite at Bankai yet, huh…?

-These guys are so harsh on Ichigo.

-It’s League of Legends’ fault for nerfing support characters.

[The Incheon Tower’s 29th floor has been unlocked for all humanity with Platinum Achievement conditions met!!]

[Rewards are being calculated for the Tower’s Platinum Achievement.]

“…Huh? Only stat points as a reward?”

“Me too… but…?”

“What’s going on?”

As usual, Wakamo handed over 5 points to each of the others, but their rewards had suddenly diminished drastically.

Granted, 15 points weren’t bad—it equaled the rewards of clearing a 5th-floor tower.

But was it because there were no skills worth learning on lower floors?

Then what about Wakamo?

Why is the Tower always so strict with me──!!!!

“Can you handle the next floor?”

“I’m fine.”

“Recovery is automatic when we ascend! Let’s go!”

Climbing was never supposed to be this grueling.

At least, not until the 30th floor!!

As her Believers raged in excitement on the forums over Wakamo’s breathtaking performance, and as friends likely fought over Ichigo’s contributions, Wakamo could only rub her temples in frustration.

And soon, Ichigo’s original song was set to release…!!

‘Let’s just clear the 30th floor before worrying about that.’

The three climbers moved toward the final cooperative floor of the lower levels.

This time, they were greeted by an open field so vast they could see distant mountain ranges.

[The Incheon Tower’s 30th Floor World is now being climbed.]

  • This trial is fit for the strongest climbers.
  • Work together to overcome and conquer.
  • Defeat the [Ultra-Elite Boss Monster]!

[Platinum Achievement Conditions:]

  • Defeat the [Lesser Titan] (0/1).
  • Defeat it within 1 minute (0:01).

‘…One minute?’

Is this just an elite monster, an elite boss monster, or a legendary ultra-elite boss that appears only once in a millennium?!

Even the Climber Association had never encountered such a classification.

“Anyone know anything about a Lesser Titan?”

-It’s the 60th-floor boss in Greece lol.

“Thanks a lot, Believer.”

“This is only the 30th floor!!!!”

“Ugh…”

The ground began to tremble.

And the mountain began to move.

No, it only seemed that way because of its colossal size.

A giant so immense it seemed to touch the faraway sky.

Its size was comparable to an 18-story apartment building… about 50 meters tall by estimate.

“An oversized giant…?”

“Unbelievable… That wall is 50 meters tall!!”

“Wow, they sent Greece’s most unbearable jerk monsters to Korea.”

“Still, these jerks are all bark and no bite. At least they’re just big, right?”

“If you keep hitting it, it’ll go down somehow, right?”

“I’ll annihilate every last one… not a single one left behind!!”

Even though Wakamo herself was relatively tall at 2 meters, compared to the 50-meter Lesser Titan, she looked like an adorable hamster.

Its sheer overwhelming size left them feeling not just helpless but utterly defeated.

Sure, the Lesser Titan was just big, but… this was absurdly big.

When Ichigo carefully aimed and launched a potion, it arced beautifully and hit the Titan, but it seemed to have no effect.

“Did something just blow up?”

“Hyeji would’ve handled it better… I guess.”

“Ichigo, you rock-head.”

“Quite a comical situation, isn’t it?”

“Are you kidding? Alchemists aren’t strong attackers. Stick to support….”

“Don’t say mean things to Ichigo! We’re friends!!!”

“At this point, we have no choice but to use Moon Slash…”

“The Tower’s Special Unit would say this falls under royal jurisdiction!!”

“Sssss…”

At this point, rather than asking, “How can we defeat that in one minute?”

It was better to think, The Tower raised the difficulty because it believes this team can do it in one minute.

‘It feels like we’re being ripped off with every floor we climb.’

Was the content being squeezed dry on purpose?

Wakamo couldn’t even practice much outside the Tower since she was too frugal with her mana. But it couldn’t be helped now.

Slowly drawing her blade from its sheath, Wakamo began to focus.

Without saying a word, just standing there, Wakamo exuded an intangible force—a pressure that made even the air feel heavy, creating the illusion of dominance.

In the stifling silence, Wakamo finally spoke.

“Bankai.”

-Did the Boss just say something?

-What did she just say? LOL

-Is this about Ichigo? No way…

The ground shook violently.

It was similar to when the Titan rose earlier, but this time, it was much closer—far too close.

Behind Wakamo, who stood holding the [Kusanagi Blade], something began to take shape, molding into existence.

It was a giant far larger than Wakamo—though not as tall as the Lesser Titan, it was still around 20 meters high.

It donned brilliant armor known as dusoklingap, a type of plated armor from the Joseon dynasty, made of bronze plates resembling fish scales.

With golden dragons adorning its epaulets and a resplendent, sturdy helmet completing its look, the giant stood in the same pose as Wakamo.

The camera tried its best to capture the entire scene, but the scale was too large, forcing it to lower its angle to a dramatic low shot.

The viewers watched as the majestic general spirit stood tall, radiating an imposing aura while holding its blade.

“【Warrior God, Blade Dance Divine General, Dragon General Spirit】”

A flashy name made of randomly cool-sounding words.

But these things always sounded better the longer and fancier they were.

Wakamo, who had no shame when it came to making her VTuber broadcasts shine, ignited the [Flame of the Idol] on her blade.

The white flames soon enveloped the blade of the Blade Dance Divine General, a clone of the [Body of the Idol] Wakamo had summoned.

‘The mana cost is way lower! It’s easier to control because it’s humanoid! Unlike VTuber models, I can strengthen it by infusing mana…! Does the clone’s damage feedback into the main body?’

Though outwardly calm, Wakamo’s mind raced with analysis.

Honestly, she had dreamed of using prettier VTuber models, but reality won out.

Even with two simultaneous views and dual sensations coexisting, Wakamo, accustomed to multitasking, quickly adapted.

The Titan, sensing danger belatedly, hurled a massive boulder.

However, Wakamo had already swung her sword, cleaving through it as if it were nothing.

‘The blade implementation is spot-on!’

She discovered the major drawback of the sword being fused with the arm, but laughed it off, thinking, As long as it cuts well, it’s fine for combat.

“I’ll guide you to the afterlife.”

With the white flames burning brightly along the sword, Wakamo raised the blade, gripping it with both hands.

She then slashed downward with the same flourish she had displayed before, channeling mana into the strike.

“Chesto—!!!”

Both Pirate and Ichigo stood dumbfounded, awestruck by the appearance of the massive giant.

The Titan raised its arm to block, but the Blade Dance Divine General pressed its hand against the sword’s back, adding sheer brute force to the slash, cleaving the Titan from head to torso.

With a deafening boom, the ground split apart.

Even as feedback from the clone’s damage coursed through her main body, Wakamo suppressed the urge to vomit blood, calmly sheathed her blade, and maintained her composed demeanor.

“Just another trivial thing, cut down…”

You know, I’ve always wondered. Why do swordsman characters always say lines like this?

For once, it was refreshing that there were no added effects like physical immunity or magic resistance.

Grateful for the simplicity of the giant’s size, Wakamo silently waited for the expected alert.

[The Incheon Tower’s 30th floor has been unlocked for all humanity with Platinum Achievement conditions met!!]

[Rewards are being calculated for the Tower’s Platinum Achievement.]

What kind of rewards would it give this time?

Surely, it wouldn’t just be another handout, right?

“Meaning☆Unclear.”

Though baffled, Wakamo had become so used to the Tower’s nonsensical rewards that she let out a dry laugh.
