But the Hunters had no intention of chasing them. They were already waiting.

Waiting for Ggwaenggari and Gukgeorijangdan were highly skilled veteran close-combat fighters.
A force handpicked and deployed by Admin.

All they could do now was catch their breath while hidden.

He used 20 troops as a vanguard to distract the Frog Rebellion, sent 10 for a rear ambush, and stationed the remaining 10 where they would teleport.
If all 40 troops fought together, even the Handful Squad would’ve been in chaos.

Surely, Admin’s chat would be filled with scathing remarks. More humiliating than losing his life.
But Gukgeorijangdan’s foolish curiosity got the better of him, and he peeked at the Hunter Gallery.

And with that, Ggwaenggari was gone. Now Gukgeorijangdan was alone.
The scattered main force of the Handful Squad appeared one by one, using teleport scrolls.
“Secure the hostage first!!”
“Grab the tied-up D-rank Porter!!”
“Ahhhhh! Save me!”
Alone. Abandoned. Admin had even predicted his abandonment. Admin is a god, and I am a mere mortal. ‘That person’ only thought of me as a pawn.
All the resentment pointed to one person.
Gukgeorijangdan quietly began preparing his ultimate secret technique.
“I am Gukgeorijangdan, ranked fifth in the Frog Rebellion.”
An ultimate technique so powerful it required staking his own life! He would unleash it all on the D-rank Porter!
The D-rank Porter would be his companion to the afterlife. It was all her fault.
“This is all your fault!”
Living would only lead to execution anyway. It didn’t matter.
“Gukgeorijangdan is targeting the hostage!!”
“Wait…. This power is beyond what we can handle….”

He was condensing his energy onto the tip of his dagger, ready to release it when—
