After I Died, the Scumbag Went Crazy Chapter 1

Chapter 1: I Died

I died.

I was brutally murdered by a serial killer, and after death, my body was made into a specimen, trapped in a glass display case.

Beijing City, the Fu Family.

I don’t know why, but after death, my soul returned to this home where I had lived for nearly ten years.

“Still can’t reach Xixi? It’s been days,” Aunt Fu muttered softly, sitting on the couch. “That child has always been obedient, she wouldn’t just not answer my calls. Could something have happened?”

I am the adopted daughter of the Fu family. I came to this house at the age of eighteen.

My mother was Aunt Fu’s best friend. After my parents died in a car accident, I’ve been living with her and grew up in the Fu family.

“Mom, don’t worry about her. She’s an adult now, what could possibly happen?” Fu Mingyu said impatiently, glancing at the time. “Today is Yuan Yuan’s birthday, I’m heading out.”

“Mingyu… There’s been all this talk about that serial killer lately, targeting young, beautiful girls. I’ve been getting anxious and my eyelid keeps twitching. Can you try contacting Xixi and tell her I miss her?” Aunt Fu looked worried, her voice filled with quiet pleading.

My soul stood beside her, desperately wanting to hug her and comfort her, but I couldn’t.

“She’s an ungrateful brat. Even if she’s mad at me, she shouldn’t be ignoring your calls. She’s just grown wings and flown away.”

Whenever Fu Mingyu talked about me, his tone was filled with disdain.

I had loved him for ten years, and for ten years, he had hated me.

“Fu Mingyu, I’m dead. You’re free now, you’re finally free,” I said, standing in front of him. I told him he was free.

But he could no longer hear me.

“Mingyu, I know you don’t like Xixi, and you don’t want to marry her. But Xixi is innocent. You two have a marriage agreement, and after what happened… How can I face her mother if you don’t marry her?”

Two months ago, Fu Mingyu got drunk and forced himself on me at home.

He called Bai Yuan’s name afterward. That feeling was worse than death.

Fu Mingyu’s face darkened, and his voice turned cold. “Who knows if she didn’t seduce me first. She’s so desperate to marry me that she’s shameless.”

Aunt Fu sighed, shaking her head.

“What a sin.”

I stood there, numb, shaking my head desperately, crying and screaming.

I didn’t. I didn’t seduce him.

That night, it was clearly him who went crazy.

My soul followed Fu Mingyu to Bai Yuan’s birthday party.

As soon as we entered, Fu Mingyu’s friends greeted Bai Yuan as “sister-in-law” with a grin.

“Sister-in-law, happy birthday! Mingyu spared no expense to celebrate your birthday.”

Fu Mingyu smiled indulgently at Bai Yuan, presenting her with a gift amidst the crowd’s teasing.

“Mingyu, has there been any news about Xixi?” Bai Yuan asked softly, as if suddenly remembering.

Fu Mingyu frowned. “Don’t mention her. She’s bad luck.”

Bai Yuan smiled faintly. “She’s still your sister, after all. Don’t be like that.”

“Sister?” Fu Mingyu scoffed coldly. “She nearly killed you, and you still speak for her. You’re too kind.”

Bai Yuan clung to Fu Mingyu, acting coy in his arms. “I don’t mind…”

I stood in front of Fu Mingyu, frantically explaining. “I didn’t. I never harmed her. It was her, it was her who killed me!”

“Fu Mingyu! It was her who killed me!”

But Fu Mingyu couldn’t hear me at all.

I cried out in frustration, desperately trying to explain.

But after trying so hard, I suddenly felt tired.

Fu Mingyu had never trusted me.

“Did you guys hear? That serial killer still hasn’t been caught. The police have already found six bodies, all of them beautiful women.”

Someone in the crowd mentioned the serial killer.

“Wasn’t that killer targeting Sister Yuan recently? Good thing Mingyu protected her so well, or it would’ve been dangerous.”

“Cheng Xi was used as bait to lure the killer out, but even the killer didn’t fall for it. Hahaha…”

“Exactly, even the killer didn’t want her. How can she compare to our Sister Yuan?”

Fu Mingyu’s chest tightened, and he suddenly felt irritated. “Enough with that.”

He lit a cigarette, and just as his phone rang again, he answered it.

“Hello?”

“Is this Mr. Fu Mingyu? We’re from the Beijing City Criminal Police Department. What is Cheng Xi to you?”

Fu Mingyu shot up from his seat, signaling everyone to be quiet. “Shut up, all of you!”

He seemed nervous, his fingers turning pale. “Cheng Xi… She’s my sister.”

I looked at Fu Mingyu, and suddenly, I laughed.

Even in death, I was still only his sister.

“She may be in trouble. We found her phone and personal belongings at the scene of the crime. Can you come to identify them?”
