Chapter 8: Does He Know I’m Dead?
“Brother Mingyu, that person… he’s so scary, he’s staring at me.”
Behind me, Bai Yuan said shivering, hiding behind Fu Mingyu.
I glanced back and sighed in relief; the pervert was not staring at me but at Bai Yuan.
He seemed to be glaring at Bai Yuan in anger but remained silent.
“He’s called A Xing. He’s from the nearby orphanage. Once, he stole someone’s bun and I caught him. He shouldn’t be a bad person,” a policeman spoke up for him.
I shook my head frantically. “No, he is a bad person. He’s the murderer!”
The policeman let A Xing go.
A Xing clumsily got up from the ground, his long legs causing his pants to barely cover his ankles.
I saw horrifying scars on his calves, like burn marks from an electric shock.
I was afraid he would continue killing. Despite my fear, I followed him.
He walked up to Bai Yuan, his voice hoarse.

Bai Yuan looked at the man in shock, trembling all over.
I was also shocked to see A Xing. Did he know Bai Yuan deliberately led me here?
“Mr. Fu, if you have any information related to Cheng Xi, please contact us as soon as possible. Sorry for bothering you so late,” the leading policeman said apologetically. “My name is Lu Zhe, here’s my number.”
Fu Mingyu grunted, took the business card, and left with Bai Yuan.

This is the first crime scene of this serial murder case.
I closely followed A Xing, trying to see if I could find my body.
But he didn’t go to the murder location; instead, he entered a rundown dormitory building and curled up in a small room.
The room was messy, filled with clutter.
But it was clear he probably lived here.
This is an old orphanage. I wandered around for a long time but didn’t find the basement where he killed and I died.
No wonder the police couldn’t find it after searching for so long.
“Bang!” The iron gate of the orphanage was suddenly smashed open by a car.
A Xing came out cautiously, looking at the uninvited guests.
I was astonished to see that the people who got out of the car were Fu Mingyu and a trembling Bai Yuan.
“It’s him. I don’t know if he’s the murderer, but the person who has been following me these days is him.”
Bai Yuan didn’t reveal A Xing in front of the police but told Fu Mingyu instead.
Fu Mingyu didn’t call the police but chose to bring people to warn him.
