Chapter 2
After returning to Earth, only one thing had changed for me.
Before I was summoned to the other world, my identity on Earth was “Kim Ki-chul.”
But now, it had changed to the identity of my other-world self.
When I first saw the name “Aurora” written on my identification card, where “Kim Ki-chul” should have been, I was shocked.
Oh, Aurora was the alias I used in the other world.
‘Now it’s become my true name.’
Well, it would have been even stranger if my name wasn’t exotic, given my foreign appearance.
But I still wanted to clear this up, so I asked Akashic Records-chan.
“Earth’s Administrator, Codename A-013, acknowledges its negligence.
It has promised to provide convenience to the master.”
The words that came out of Aka-chan mouth were what I expected.
After all, only entities like Aka-chan could pull off something like this.
“How much progress has been made on the virtual reality construction?”
“The finishing touches have just been completed.”
“That was really fast.” Since Aka-chan did its part, I had to speed up as well.
Aka-chan created the base world of the game, while my task was to make a device that would allow access to that virtual reality.
Virtual Reality Access Device: Capsule.
Yes, it’s exactly like the capsule that appears in typical game fantasy novels.
Of course, this capsule was something entirely new—something that neither existed in the other world nor on Earth.
It couldn’t be made with knowledge alone.
But who was it that had rolled through countless battles to prevent destruction for the past ten years? It was none other than me.
When it comes to magic skills, I’m confident I wouldn’t lose to anyone.
Even if I were to go up against the one known as the Greatest Archmage on the continent.
“I will assist.” Aka-chan, who was watching, helped with the capsule construction.
Thanks to that, the work speed increased, and we finished quicker than expected.
“Phew. It looks amazing.” I felt like I had to go inside and shout, “Link Start!”
Although the device in that anime is a headgear, this was close enough.
I connected Aka-chan’s virtual reality to the capsule.
Now, when I close my eyes inside the capsule, my consciousness will be transferred to the virtual reality.
“Learning process in progress… Learning complete.”
Akashic Records-chan drew a magic circle on the ground.
It was an ancient magic that most mages wouldn’t even recognize.
“High-Level Magic, Replica.”
Replica, as the name suggests, is a spell that replicates non-living objects.
The amount of mana required is enormous, making it hard for most to use.
At the very least, one would need to be an archmage capable of duelling me three times.
“I knew Aka-chan was knowledgeable, but seeing it in action is truly amazing.”
Aka-chan and I entered the capsule together.
***
There were many things I learned through conversations with Aka-chan.
First, the Aka-chan cannot directly intervene in the world it oversees.
And the decisive reason Akashic Record entrusted me with the task of eliminating the Objects of Destruction—
“Aka-chan … didn’t you say this was a world 1,000 years in the future?”
“…Yes, that’s correct.”
Waaaaaah—!!!
Below us, an army was advancing. The cavalry led the way, shouting battle cries.
Beyond the human army was an Undead Army. A familiar sight—or rather, it exuded an even more sinister aura than before.
‘The Ancient Necromancer?’ The first Object of Destruction I faced in the other world and the very nightmare I never wanted to deal with again.
A tidal wave of the undead, endlessly resurrecting no matter how many times you kill them, was sweeping across the vast land.
“I definitely destroyed the Ancient Necromancer, though.”
The reason I set the game’s stage 1,000 years in the future was simple.
The wounds left by the Objects of Destruction in the other world were far too deep.
I estimated that it would take about a thousand years for those wounds to heal.
That’s why I chose to base it on the other world set 1,000 years in the future.
“User’s query confirmed. It is a different entity from the Ancient Necromancer.”
“A different entity…?”
Following Aka-chan’s words, I observed the Ancient Necromancer from a distance.
Indeed, its appearance was completely different from the Ancient Necromancer I had faced.
‘It has a similarly sinister aura, though.’
If the Ancient Necromancer I fought still looked somewhat human, this creature leading the Undead Army over there didn’t look human at all.
An Undead Dark Sorcerer who commands the undead as its minions…
“…A Lich?”
“It’s a higher-tier being than that.”
Then, could it be an Elder Lich?
As long as its Life Vessel exists, it’s said to be an immortal entity—an undead of legend.
And such a being is fighting against an army composed solely of humans?
Of course, there may be some exceptional humans, but for the most part, it looked like they were marching to their deaths.
“If that thing is left unchecked, won’t it lead to the destruction of the other world?”
“Negative. There is no probability of destruction.”
Aka-chan explained that I had already destroyed all scenarios where the other world would face destruction.
“Hmm…”
From a spectator’s perspective, I watched the war between the humans and the undead.
Just as Aka-chan said, the human army, which I thought would be easily pushed back, was holding its ground well.
“That’s impressive.”
The flags visible throughout the battlefield bore the emblem of the Empire.
‘It must be the Empire established by the Crown Prince.’
He was competent in every way, so he likely became a wise ruler and turned the Empire into a powerful nation.
The evidence was right in front of me as the tide of the battlefield gradually shifted in favour of the Empire.
In the end, the Empire’s forces reached the Elder Lich, and the Elder Lich met its death once.
“Even considering its immortality due to the existence of a Life Vessel… they did an excellent job.”
After watching the conclusion of the war, I resumed my work.
‘The ultimate goal is to create a massive virtual reality RPG like those found in game fantasies.’
But there were still too many things missing to reach that final goal.
I could leave the game release side of things to Earth’s Administrator, A-whatever Akashic Records.
However, if no gamers were around to enjoy the game, then everything would be for naught.
So, how could I attract gamers?
Several ideas immediately came to mind.
Internet broadcasters.
BJs, streamers, and V-tubers.
I could rely on such individual influencers for advertising.
Or I could create a trailer and do some viral… no, marketing.
But for these methods, I lacked many things.
To run ads, I would need money, but I didn’t have any.
Moreover, I didn’t have the skills or personnel to create a trailer.
Isn’t there a top-notch individual… no, a genius who can produce trailers all by themselves?
“…”
“…”
Aka-chan averted my gaze.
“With your abilities, Aka-chan, couldn’t you quickly learn video editing or something like that?”
“I have high expectations for you, Aka-chan.”
“Even if we bring in other Aka-chan’s, none will adapt to Earth as quickly as you did.”
“More than anything, didn’t you summon me to the other world and make me struggle there without warning?”
“Sure, I like other worlds, but risking my life is a different story.”
“Now that I think about it, that was quite inconsiderate of you.”
“Is there anything you want to say about that…?”
“…I will do it.”
Smile—
Problem solved.

[Indie Minor Game Gallery]
Indie Minor Game Gallery, abbreviated as “InGameGal.”
It’s a community where “hipster gamers,” who only deal with minor indie games, come together.
It used to be a very niche place where only the hardcore fans would gather, but recently, more users have been joining.
This increase in popularity was due to several indie games discovered here becoming big hits, making the gallery famous alongside them.
As a result, it became a place of opportunity for indie developers.
If an indie game got good word-of-mouth in InGameGal, it could lead to success.
Of course, this assumes that the game itself is well-developed in the first place.

“They ‘lack a bit of knowledge’? That’s some savage overstatement LOL. A bit?”
ㄴ LOL, seriously
ㄴ These guys aren’t just lacking a bit, though
ㄴ How can these so-called developers say that after copying everything?
I really wanna slap those guys who said they’d serve ‘fine dining’ level dogmeat
ㄴ Don’t you know they’re all paid shills?
ㄴ Normal people wouldn’t say stuff like that LOL
ㄴ If I were a fine dining chef, I’d sue them

InGameGal’s popular posts were always filled with game “slaughter” content.
They were endlessly lenient on indie games but showed no mercy to major titles.
And amidst that, one peculiar post appeared.

“Sorry for the clickbait, I just wanted to show you this.”
“It’s an official MuTube channel of an unknown game company, but what’s up with the trailer quality?”

That single post caused a stir in InGameGal.
