Chapter 79
The girls came to visit my room.
Especially my younger sister, who pointed at the pile of jewels with a stunned expression.
“What… what is all this?”
“A gift for Darami.”
“Nyo-o-o!”
Darami let out a joyful cheer, swimming in the jewel-filled pool, which was so adorable that I started taking pictures. But the atmosphere turned strange.
They were staring at me with expectant eyes. Why were they like this?
“Ahem, so, you didn’t just bring gifts for Darami, right?”
“Of course not.”
“Right?!”
Their eyes sparkled with excitement. It would be weird not to notice at this point.
But that didn’t mean I’d give in to their expectations so easily.
“I also got a gift for our Nika.”
At that moment, Nika popped out of a treasure chest and swallowed a jewel in one gulp.
“Do you even know how much that’s worth?!”
Darami panicked, but at Nika’s simple retort of, “Should I just eat you instead?” she immediately hid among the jewels.
“…Brother.”
“What’s wrong?”
I feigned innocence, and it worked like a charm.
My sister gave me an intense glare, but come on—what kind of brother would I be if I just gave in?
Teasing little sisters is part of the job description.
After teasing her for a while, I finally handed her the gift. She acted like she didn’t care but immediately snatched it when I pretended to take it back.
Who did she get that stubbornness from?

Even though we cleared an undisclosed international Gate, nothing really changed.
The fact that it wasn’t revealed to the public played a part, but I’m already receiving top treatment. There’s no need to inflate my worth further.
I already have accounts in countless banks holding more money than I could ever spend in a lifetime.
But what I want isn’t wealth or fame.
What I desire is simple happiness.
That’s why, as soon as I got home, the first thing I did was make the classic soy sauce egg rice.
The ultimate comfort food. Simply the best.
“Ugh, you earn so much money. Can’t you eat something better?”
“What are you saying, dear sister? This is delicious!”
I even made kimchi stew packed with meat, but she still complained.
Yet, she ate it all, so I let it slide.
After finishing our meal, as I lounged on the sofa, my sister handed me a tablet.
She suggested we start looking for a new house.
“You know our place is too small, right?”
“I know. It’s about time we moved.”
She probably felt bad seeing me live in the living room. She insisted we move as soon as possible.
Where would be a good place?
It should be quiet yet close to the Association.
As we scoured listings, I began wondering if we should just build a place. None of the properties caught my eye, and the best locations were empty lots.
Building might be quicker.
As soon as the thought crossed my mind, I contacted Team Leader Cha Mi-rin.
“Yes, Jian.”
“Sorry, but does the Association handle real estate services?”
“Of course. We can assist with anything.”
As expected, the Association being nearby is the best.
They take care of all the hassle.
After explaining our plan, she said they’d start construction immediately.
Isn’t that a bit too fast?
We haven’t even bought the land yet.
Oh well, I’ll trust that they’ll handle it.
Time to head into the Tower.
“Enter!”
【Entering the Tower.】
I arrived at the massive entrance of the Tower and opened the door as the system message appeared.
【Would you like to enter the 62nd floor?】
Accept / Decline
“Accept!”
【Entering the 62nd floor.】
【Entering the domain of the ‘Giants’ that rules from the 59th to 65th floors.】

【62nd Floor Mission: Pass the Giants’ Trial!】
【Time Limit: None.】
【Conditions: None.】
【Equipment Restrictions: None.】
【Regulations: None.】

A bright light revealed a massive fortress.
This place is known as the sanctuary of the Giants.
It’s said to be filled with their elite warriors. I wonder what challenges await this time.
“Nika.”
【Declaration of war?】
“Make it flashy.”
A strong first strike is always the best.
Nika’s form began to grow larger and larger, even more massive than I had anticipated.
Is it because she consumed that boss last time?
With a single blow, the fortress wall was shattered, and shouts erupted from within.
“An intruder! There’s an intruder!”
The loud commotion seemed to confirm the effectiveness of her attack.
Following Nika into the fortress, the soldiers scrambled to stop us, but for the newly leveled-up Nika, they were nothing more than paper targets.
As the Giant soldiers were swept away like falling leaves with a single strike, I tried to head directly to the so-called sanctuary palace, but suspicious shadows around the area blocked my path.
“Master, those seem to be their elite guards.”
“Then I’ll leave it to you.”
“Understood.”
From the shadows, the Heavenly Demon emerged and swiftly eliminated the lurking Giants in one blow.
She, too, was recovering her original strength as we ascended the floors. Just how much stronger could she get?
“Master, shall I just blow the whole thing away?”
“Huh? Let’s save that for later.”
“Yes!”
Lillian, with a radiant smile, had already drawn a massive magic circle in the sky, preparing a meteor spell.
But with Nika hunting so diligently, I couldn’t allow her effort to be interrupted.
However, there was a more immediate problem.
“Sis.”
“Huh?”
“What are you doing?”
I pointed at the palace with my finger, and she flinched.
“Brother, let me remind you—I’m a hero!”
“So?”
“Heroes save lives, not take them!”
Hmm… Listening to my sister, she made a valid point.
“That’s true.”
“Right?!”
“It’s true that you need a good beating, sister.”
I gave her a light flick on the forehead and told her to get out there and fight. Clutching her head, she ran off.
Then, with a single swing of her sword, she sliced through the Giants wielding axes against her. For someone so merciless, how could she claim to be all about saving lives? Sigh, I might not survive her antics.
Sentimentality like hers not only risks her own life but could also endanger her companions.
There’s even a movie where an entire platoon dies trying to save one stranded soldier on the battlefield.
She has a long way to go before she grows up.
【Master.】
“What’s up?”
【I sense a strong presence.】
“Looks like it’s finally showing up.”
Lillian had mentioned this before: among the Giants, there was a legend.
The infamous “That guy is actually the weakest among us!” kind of legend.
The supposedly elite Giants we faced so far? They belonged to that category.
So, is the real deal starting now?
A massive axe flew toward us, but Nika effortlessly stopped it with one hand.
Several Giants appeared at once. Were they the ones?
“Finally, I can avenge my brother’s death!”
Where have I heard this line before?
Wait…
“Surrender, and I’ll spare your lives!”
“Don’t make me laugh! The Giants are no cowards!”
“I’ll separate your flesh from your soul to appease my brother’s spirit!”
Oh wow, they’re even reusing the same dialogue?
Just like the first time we entered the Giant’s domain, they repeated the exact same lines. Their default settings were obvious.
Nika mowed them down, one by one, but now came the real issue.
“Don’t get cocky! Those were just the weakest among the Giants!”
They casually uttered the line like it was nothing, but my resistance to nonsense dialogue was wearing thin.
I pointed at them to signal Nika to deal with them quickly. She took them down in one blow, only for another Giant to take their place. These ones seemed skilled in mental attacks.
“You look down on the Giants! Those you’ve defeated so far were mere weaklings….”
Ahhh, I feel like I’m losing my mind!
Each new Giant repeated the same phrases, and unless you’re a sociopath, it was enough to drive anyone crazy.
“Don’t get ahead of yourself! In fact, those until now….”
Even Nika seemed fed up, cutting them down before they could finish their lines. As they collapsed, they managed to say, “How dishonorable, invaders!” before vanishing.
Is this floor specifically designed for psychological warfare?
“B-Brother….”
“Yes, sister…?”
“I can’t take it anymore.”
“Neither can I.”
The mental attack was effective, and both my sister and I were utterly drained.
“What’s wrong?”
“Are you okay?”
Thankfully, Lillian and the Heavenly Demon seemed unaffected. But since they shared thoughts with me, they knew exactly why we were struggling.
This left only Nika busy, dealing with every enemy before they could even speak.
And we hadn’t even entered the palace yet.
Ugh, I think I’m going to lose it.
