The Demonic Prince of the Wi Clan Chapter 6

Chapter 6

Awakening the true qi hidden throughout his body, he began stepping forward with Footwork.

As he attempted to awaken the true qi along with his Footwork, he felt his Upper Dantian spinning intensely.

‘At this level, it’s possible.’

Observing the assassins’ Footwork as they rushed towards him, he moved his steps and dodged the incoming blades.

Even though he had to ceaselessly step to avoid the three blades flying at him simultaneously, he gradually became accustomed to it.

As he began to familiarize himself with the Footwork, it became easier to awaken the true qi within him.

He awakened the true qi that had been scattered throughout his body and circulated it towards his Yang Palm.

Upon reaching the Yang Palm, the true qi began to ignite a small flame.

With the flame-kindling Yang Palm, he evaded the assassins’ blades, creating Footwork.

The two martial arts in Wi Yeon-cheon’s hands began to transform into a new martial art.

Wi Yeon-cheon’s movements surged forward as if he intended to trap everything the assassins had in flames.

It was not the might that could be displayed by someone at the Age of Fifteen.

An understanding of martial arts that only a Heavenly Gifted Prodigy could hope to attain.

The prodigy’s insight ignited flames in both hands as he charged toward the black-clad assassins.

He had long since seen through their movements, dodging their blades and analyzing their steps.

Thanks to that, Wi Yeon-cheon swiftly closed the distance between him and the assassins.

Seeing this, the assassins quickly retreated by three paces, withdrawing their blades, but Wi Yeon-cheon did not permit it.

Swiftly changing his Footwork, he used lightness technique to instantly narrow the gap again.

One of the assassins, startled by this, swung his blade awkwardly.

The assassins seemed to be taken aback by his awkward swing, but once a technique was unleashed, it couldn’t be stopped.

The clumsy swing, laced with panic, lost its sharpness as it thrust toward Wi Yeon-cheon’s neck.

The awkward, dulled blade couldn’t reach Wi Yeon-cheon.

Without stopping his advance, he twisted his body in midair to dodge, and swung his Left Palm, dyed crimson.

The flames colouring the Left Palm soon extended beyond, forming a fiery seal.

The assassin twisted his body as he saw the flying Flame Seal with his own eyes, but he couldn’t avoid the flames that had surged so close.

Hit by the Flame Seal, the assassin convulsed in burning agony before collapsing to the ground.

Whoosh—

Seeing one of their own crumble under Wi Yeon-cheon’s Flame Seal, the black-clad figures used their lightness techniques to create distance.

Simultaneously, a throwing knife shot up from one of the assassins’ hands and began to emit a whistling sound in midair.

The sound from the knife quickly filled the surroundings.

‘Quite a few people have infiltrated.’

The sound filling the area brought together assassins scattered across the area.

In an instant, about ten qi presences rose up.

The assassins, who had been suppressing their qi to hide their numbers, all released their qi simultaneously.

‘I must capture at least one of them alive.’

To discover who had sent the assassins, Wi Yeon-cheon ran even faster, utilizing his lightness technique.

He pounced toward the assassin among the fleeing group who had the slowest lightness technique, pushing off from the ground to close the distance.

As he drew closer to the assassin, who seemed to have the lowest level of lightness technique, he extended his Ice White Palm.

Just as the whitened Right Palm was about to reach the assassin’s ankle, he sensed sharp killing intent from all directions.

“Ugh.”

No matter where he turned—up, down, left, or right—assassins’ blades were flying at him from all sides.

Twisting his body to evade, the distance he had gained with the assassin increased once again.

“Your talent is impressive. I heard you’ve never even ventured out into the Jianghu.”

In an instant, an enemy assassin in red appeared close by.

The voice from the red-clad assassin was chillingly filled with killing intent.

But Wi Yeon-cheon ignored him and swung his Right Palm, wrapped in Ice White Palm, toward the red-clad assassin.

“To think you still have the courage to swing your hand at your age. Remarkable nerve.”

The red-clad assassin avoided Wi Yeon-cheon’s Ice White Palm while using his lightness technique, even smirking as if full of confidence.

‘The difference in experience is obvious.’

Watching the red-clad assassin evade his Right Palm with lightness technique, Wi Yeon-cheon couldn’t help but feel the gap in experience.

With ten years confined to the Wi Clan, he couldn’t compare to the red-clad assassin’s vast experience in the chaotic Jianghu.

No matter how extraordinary Wi Yeon-cheon was considered, there remained a gulf between him and the battle-hardened martial artists of the Jianghu.

“I, Blood Blade Demon, acknowledge you.”

The red-clad assassin, who referred to himself as the Blood Blade Demon, placed his hand on his blade handle.

As he touched the blade handle, his red sleeve fluttered with the release of true qi.

True qi flowed toward the blade handle, mingled with his killing intent.

Seeing this, Wi Yeon-cheon wrapped both his hands in flames.

“To witness both the Ice White Palm and Sammae True Flame—impressive indeed.”

As he chuckled in an exhilarated voice, the Blood Blade Demon’s blade emerged from its sheath, slicing through the air.

Before the flames wrapped around both his hands could respond, the Blood Blade Demon’s blade charged toward Wi Yeon-cheon’s neck.

In his field of vision, Wi Yeon-cheon saw the powerful red true qi emanating from the blade nearing his neck.

The intense crimson true qi immediately caught Wi Yeon-cheon’s gaze.

Simultaneously, the Yin-Yang Radiance within him began to surge violently.

As the Yin-Yang Radiance roared to life, Wi Yeon-cheon realized something.

The Yin-Yang Radiance already knew the Blood Blade Demon’s true qi.

“What…?!”

With an inexplicably familiar sensation and a sudden quickening of his movements, Wi Yeon-cheon blocked the Blood Blade Demon’s blade that had approached to striking distance.

The Blood Blade Demon’s blade, now lodged in Wi Yeon-cheon’s Right Palm, which was frosted over with Ice White Palm.

Seeing his blade trapped in Wi Yeon-cheon’s Right Palm, the Blood Blade Demon’s eyes widened in shock.

Wi Yeon-cheon, too, could only watch in astonishment.

After all, these movements hadn’t originated from his conscious intent.

“Th-that’s impossible.”

The words slipped from Blood Blade Demon’s lips, disbelief evident in his tone.

However, the voice that emerged from his open mouth was not entirely Wi Yeon-cheon’s.

“Is it the Red Blood Flame Technique…?”

The mingled sound of Wi Yeon-cheon’s voice created a chilling yet powerful tone, dampening the terror it invoked but still exuding intimidation.

Though it lacked Killing Intent, the voice was enough to freeze the listener in place.

This was a voice resonating from within Wi Yeon-cheon’s Upper Dantian.

He swung his Left Palm, filled with the chill of the Ice White Palm, toward the frozen assassins, who were paralyzed by the sound of his voice.

As the wave of qi surged from the Left Palm imbued with Ice White Palm’s frost, the assassins’ lips quickly turned a purplish hue.

Blood Blade Demon could only stand and watch as his subordinates froze to death.

Faced with Wi Yeon-cheon’s completely transformed qi presence, Blood Blade Demon could do nothing but freeze in place.

Wi Yeon-cheon’s lips curved up naturally as he looked at the immobilized Blood Blade Demon.

With a slight smile, the voice of Yin-Yang Radiance echoed again.

“You were far too arrogant.”

After murmuring softly, Wi Yeon-cheon’s hand closed around Blood Blade Demon’s throat.

“Guh….”

It was a sight to behold as Blood Blade Demon slowly froze under the chill emanating from Wi Yeon-cheon’s grip.

To Wi Yeon-cheon, the sight of the Blood Blade Demon’s true qi, which had been raging moments before, gradually hardening was sickening.

Yet, he could not release his grip.

It was as if his body moved on its own.

As Blood Blade Demon’s lips darkened from purple to black, his solidifying true qi began to flow outward.

‘Could it be… Innate Energy?’

Wi Yeon-cheon had only ever seen Innate Energy flow within people’s bodies.

But from the corpse of Blood Blade Demon, who had died under his grasp, Innate Energy was now flowing outward.

‘Does Innate Energy flow out of a person when they die like this?’

With a trembling gaze, he observed Blood Blade Demon’s Innate Energy dissipating into the air.

However, Wi Yeon-cheon’s body did not merely watch this phenomenon.

He raised his Left Palm toward the Innate Energy dispersing into the air.

‘W-what…?’

As he lifted his Left Palm, he felt a throbbing pain in his Dantian.

Then, the Yin-Yang Radiance, which had been circulating throughout his body, suddenly surged toward his Left Palm.

‘What on earth is… this?’

Wi Yeon-cheon was left astonished by what unfolded next.

The Innate Energy, as if reacting to the Yin-Yang Radiance, halted its dispersal and began converging toward Wi Yeon-cheon’s Left Palm.

The Innate Energy that entered through his Left Palm traveled through his meridians and settled in his Dantian.

Even after cultivating for three shifts, he hadn’t been able to accumulate internal energy in his Dantian.

However, the Innate Energy from Blood Blade Demon that entered his body through the Left Palm instantly transformed into internal energy and settled in his Dantian.

Wi Yeon-cheon could not believe what was happening to his body.

Yet, the Yin-Yang Radiance seemed to have no intention of giving him time to comprehend it, as it extended his Left Palm once more.

The Left Palm soon pointed toward the black-clad assassins.

True qi began to flow out of the bodies of assassins who died under the chill of the Ice White Palm.

Although their Innate Energy did not compare to Blood Blade Demon’s, their Innate Energy also transformed into internal energy through the Left Palm, flowing into his Dantian.

Only after he had completely converted the assassins’ Innate Energy into internal energy did Wi Yeon-cheon finally lower his Left Palm.

In an instant, he had annihilated the assassins who had infiltrated the Wi Clan, absorbing their Innate Energy.

“Haha…”

Looking down at his Left Palm, which had absorbed the assassins’ Innate Energy, a hollow laugh escaped his lips.

As the assassins’ Innate Energy entered his body, traveled through his meridians, and settled in his Dantian, he felt his internal energy swell.

Given his past experiences with the Yin-Yang Radiance, it would not have been surprising if it had wildly consumed all the internal energy in his Dantian.

However, after freely circulating through his entire body, the Yin-Yang Radiance vanished once again.

“I can’t make sense of it.”

Standing amidst the bodies of assassins who had lost all their true qi, he could only stare intently at his Left Palm.

He continued to gaze at his Left Palm, which had just performed something entirely unexpected.

How long had he been intently staring at it when he saw people from his household running toward him from afar?

“Yeon-cheon, are you alright?”

The first to arrive was none other than Wi Jin-gyeol.

His face was filled with obvious worry, but among those who had run with him, Wi Jin-gyeol was the only one who appeared concerned.

For those who came alongside Wi Jin-gyeol, their gaze wasn’t on Wi Yeon-cheon but on the numerous frozen bodies strewn around.

“D-Did the Grand Prince do all of this?”

An uncle who had rushed over with Wi Jin-gyeol.

Judging by his demeanour, he was likely a scholar, but Wi Yeon-cheon shifted his gaze from his Left Palm to the corpses at his uncle’s words.

The bodies, devoid of a single drop of blood, had been sent to the Nine Heavens.

With their lips turned blue and their bodies white as snow, he stared at the corpses and finally spoke.

“Yes, it seems that way.”

“What do you mean, ‘seems that way’?”

Wi Jin-gyeol, surprised for a different reason than the others, asked, but Wi Yeon-cheon replied calmly.

“I made them like this.”

The bodies, having lost all their Innate Energy, were nothing more than frozen corpses.

With a steady gaze upon the corpses, Wi Yeon-cheon turned to his uncle and spoke.

“By the way, he referred to himself as Blood Blade Demon.”

“Blood Blade Demon?”

Wi Jin-gyeol’s expression instantly hardened at the mention of Blood Blade Demon, though he quickly wiped the worry from his face.

“Brother, that can’t be possible, can it?”

“Yes, it can’t be. No, it must not be.”

Wi Yeon-cheon could only tilt his head in confusion at the cryptic words exchanged between his father and uncle.

“It must be an impostor.”
